Kirkland

Kirkland-4 Kirkland-3 Kirkland-2 Kirland-1

Idyllically situated on the shores of shimmering Lake Washington, Kirkland is a Pacific Northwest sanctuary. Boasting western exposure and the incredible sunsets that accompany it, Kirkland offers a laid-back atmosphere that’s home to great schools, gorgeous waterfront parks with panoramic views, and a charming downtown waterfront area!

In Kirkland’s downtown community, a myriad of events, restaurants, shopping, and opportunities for enjoying nightlife await. Every summer, stroll through the Kirkland Wednesday Market, an outdoor market with vendors selling fresh local produce, homemade treats, original art, and much more. Each year, events like Kirkland Winterfest, bi-weekly art walks, trick-or-treating, and more bring the community together downtown as well.

Shopping is also a popular pastime in Kirkland, and residents and visitors alike appreciate its charming boutiques and independent shops. For example, Purpose Boutique showcases trendy women’s styles (and even offers personal styling), Fena Flowers offers custom flower displays, Everyday Athlete features a wide range of athletic gear, and Ragamoffyn’s is a fabulous designer consignment boutique. When you need to refuel, make reservations at the award-winning Cafe Juanita to enjoy a freshly prepared meal using the finest ingredients from Italy and the Pacific Northwest. Deru Market is another delectable Kirkland dining option, featuring local, organic, and seasonal food cooked from scratch.

Staying active and taking advantage of the outdoors is also easy in Kirkland—there’s plenty of opportunity for enjoying the natural beauty of the area. Juanita Beach Park is a favorite, and this 21-acre park features 1,000 feet of Lake Washington waterfront, an enclosed swimming area, picnic tables, sport courts, and much more. Another favorite park is Marina Park, an almost 4-acre park with 695 feet of Lake Washington waterfront, boat moorage, an amphitheater, picnic tables, and more. Kirkland’s outdoor activities don’t end there, though—there’s a wealth of other parks, trails, and scenic areas just waiting to be discovered!
